I've been doing readings in my little office at Health Works Chiropractic and Wellness Centre. It's cozy, and the readings are going well. The only downfall is that I sometimes forget to be quiet-ish. I get kind of boisterous during readings, as the guides and relatives come through.  Ever try to tell an energy that has worked so hard to come through, to "shhh"... ??? hahaha.

One one side of me is an RMT. On the other an Acupuncturist. This building is just FULL of the healing vibes.

I took a picture without the flash, forgetting that I had my tri-lite on the lowest setting - The Setting I normally use for Reflexology! So everything is a little yellowish.

Also, I have gift certificates for readings for sale at Handmakers Haven, downtown Midland. (Inside the Georgianview Shoppes on King.)

Oh Hello! It's Snowing Out. That Means MORE READING!

So, I never just read ONE book at a time. Very rarely, anyway. Currently, I've been reading these three, sort of simultaneously. I'll read a bit of each before bed, or 2 before bed and one in the morning.

As I mentioned in my last blog, I'm really excited about this one. Which is a little ironic, because what this book helps you do is NOT get really excited. Heh. It has you basically hypnotising yourself to reach your goals, and heal yourself. 

You The Healer - Jose Silva and Robert B. Stone

This one has been a bit of a challenge. Originally published in 1973, It reads more like a, say, 1930 to me, in terms of language used, and how LONG it takes to get to the little nuggets of goodness. I've already spent time with Astral Projection, but there is a lot of interesting things to ponder in this one.

The last one of the three that I'm spending most time with is A Napoleon Hill. I have owned "Think and Grow Rich" for just ages. This one has been INCREDIBLY interesting. There's no "business" in here. It's all about healing yourself, and there are some pretty radical ideas in it, considering the time he wrote it. He talks opening and plainly about how husbands and wives are the strongest mastermind team, about using sexual energy to raise energy for purpose, about Guides of all sorts, and even astral projection. CRAZY.

You Can Work Your Own Miracles - Napoleon Hill

That last pic isn't the best. It's late. And dark. And snowing like MAD out there. I'm not sure how that's relevant. But it must be. EVERYTHING IS! *Cackle*

Anyway, I've not been reading these books at the same pace. I'll read one a few nights, then maybe pick up two, then move on to the third for a few... It's random how much I'm reading of each, and when. What has been TICKLING me all to bits, is that what ever book I pick up, at what ever interval, they are mirroring the same messages. The same lessons. I love the magic of Sychronicity.

I fully expect next week to be my last before layoffs, at one of my part time jobs. And I'm okay with that. Because it means a new schedule, mixing things up, and getting to spend all the time doing just what I am supposed to. Readings, Reflexology, Art, Singing in the kitchen while baking. Oh yes. It feels good to just THINK about it.

My dreams the last few nights have kept me busy, and wide awake 2 and 3 times a night. It's nearly 10pm, and I am SO SLEEPY! Super snowy days are really good for snuggling in. With books.

Girls Holiday Weekend Readings

The Girls Holiday Weekend in Midland, Friday night event was a success... but so tiring! I booked a small break for myself at around 8:30, and then read straight through till about 11. Because I KNOW that once I get a little tired, if I stop, I'm doomed.

I ended up doing 17 readings. And, I've been invited to the brunch on Sunday, where I'm guessing I'll be set up to do more readings. And hopefully eat some brunch. hahaha! The weather wasn't great on Friday night, so I'm hoping more ladies will be coming to the brunch and I'll get to connect with anyone I may have missed on Friday.

I think it would be a great time to do the draw for the free 30 minute reading, too.

My throat is raw from the hours of non stop talking. And Cackling.

Totally worth it :)

Girls Holiday Weekend Midland Ontario.

So, I'll be sitting in the Boathouse in Midland, doing readings for the Girls Holiday Weekend event. I did this one last year, and it was STUPID busy. I did 10 minute readings, and read NON STOP from 6 to 11. I was BURNT OUT by the end of the night in a big way, read for 22 ladies, and had 11 more on the list. Needless to say, I just COULDN'T do it.

This year my plan is to be a bit more organized. Take names of people who would like to have parties at a later date, or personal readings. (Hopefully this "organization" thing works for me. ha!)

I'm going to have to rest up SOMEHOW between now and then! It's a wild time, with music and rowdy ladies. :)

Mark Tumber ( www.MarkTumber.com ) lives nearby, and we've been friends a long time. I asked him to make me look like a super hero, complete with muscles. He took my facebook profile pic and made this happen!!!

Pulling cards.

What's important to know in the coming days? The next week...

The first thing that hit me was "Cern will come again."
then, the Princess of Swords who said to me "Learn to use your new skills. You will hone them to perfection, as one would when working with swords. A little awkward at first, this new dance... you will grow strong and confident."

Then I had to come back and have a look at the rest. The Queen of Swords is representing me - a woman who is rational and fair, strong and decisive. Takes no bull. What my roadblock is to being this wholly is The Hanged Man - Waiting for someone else to make a move, trying to get a different perspective, waiting for timing to be right. This tells me the timing is absolutely right, right now. There will be no waiting. I must shed this notion of wondering.

In what I am right now, the King of Wands. All fire, all intuition, with a good hold on all that means.
In my environment, 2 cards slipped out together, and so I left them that way. First, is THE HIGH PRIEST. Well.. yes. Clearly. Coupled with the 5 of coins - A financial change associated with a lover. Also, sadness and loss associated with a lover. (sigh)

The next, 7 of Pentacles, is 'what is in the thoughts." - That we shall surely reap what we are sowing.

The last card made me happy. THE HIGH PRIESTESS as the outcome of all of it. A strength, secrets revealed and truths understood. 

What is important to know? Let there be no doubt that everything is falling into place as it should. Let there be no question. There is great strength already, even in the learning of separate and connected things. Make peace with your own armor and new tools. Horns and Hooves are present and watchful. Strength and self discovery.

So. Life has been busy. Busy growing and changing and healing. There's been a crazy tonne of magic swirling around me and making things happen FAST. The messages from my Guides (and Others!!) have been loud and clear. I've been doing readings in person at a little shop downtown, and have done a party or two. Mostly, I've been distracted in the most beautiful and important way. However, sometime after the first week of August, .... I believe I'll be back in full force. And completely FOCUSED. That's what so much of this month has been about for me. Focus. It's all part of it.

I've already started to play catch up with email readings, and putting my energies out there to welcome those of you who have been waiting patiently for me.

So, the photo is by my adorable friend Barb, who owns a gorgeous shop in town and also has a business called BOOKBAGZ. (That's a link to her website, but she's also got a facebook page.) I was actually SINGING outside of her shop yesterday, and she brought out one of her bookbagz creations! She's got an official license to use some Nancy Drew Book images on her purses. They are adorable, and cute, and durable.. and handmade by Barb.

Everytime I look at this picture, I think "This is EXACTLY how I've been feeling this month, and I am so thankful." Cute. Sassy. Dainty. And Wondering about The Secret of the Old Clock.

Time hasn't been linear for me. I'm lost in it, and completely okay with that. After the first week of August, it will most likely be easier to keep time.

The 10 of Swords. Then the 10 of Cups. Then Rebirth.

I was gifted with some Copal. This resin is new to me, and I feel curious and eager to experience it! I shuffled some cards this morning for myself.. it's been about 10 days since I've drawn for myself (although I've been busy drawing for others - absolutely on FIRE.)  So I'm not even sure that I had a specific question. It was more "Show me how it goes." And Rebirth.

I know I've shown Rebirth here before. But it's different today. The other cards that came with this showed me right now we are in the middle of a "Ten of Swords." A complete ending. It's rational, and the pain of it can be embraced or fought. It's not to be feared. His armour is off, and I find it interesting that the placement of the swords are in his back.

"I lovingly release others to their own lessons. I lovingly care for myself. I move with ease through life."

This is the entire spread. Not what I thought I would get, and one or two surprises, but exactly what needed to be said.

Gazing Sphere! Fast Manifestation - What a Gift!

Today was AMAZING.

I had a reading out in a beautiful area, on a magical piece of property on Peek a Boo trail, in Toanche.  WHELMING. The energy was BIG.

I read for 4 ladies - every reading I wanted to go over in time! The last lady was the owner of the house. This house was completely made out in native decoration, a fantastically decorated home. I read in 'the library' - a room that had shelves from floor to ceiling, on all 4 walls. Filled with books that could have been on my own shelves (and some of them are!). Herbalism, Shamanism, Healing, Magic. I didn't see the stacks of tarot and divination cards until she and I had finished our readings. I remarked that I had a deck (Quester) that she had, but I hadn't touched it yet. I think after today, I'm ready to.

Anyway, at the beginning of her reading, before we even started, she said She had something she's been hanging onto for years. She knew it wasn't for her, but she had to have it to caretake for whoever it was for. And do I like round... you know...(and then she made the shape of the ball with her hands.) 

"Crystal Balls?" I said

"Yes! I have one for you. If you want it. As soon as you walked into my house, I knew it was for you."

 Absolutely, I said. I was looking online last night at some, and said to the Universe I'm so excited for MINE to come to me! I've been waiting for one since I worked at The Crow's Nest in Midland ages ago.

I'm surprised and pleased that it came to be so QUICKLY.

What's even better - I KNOW it was meant for me. The base is represented by pagan/wiccan Maiden/Mother/Crone. Not a native imagery. I made a girlish noise when I realized what was on the base.

It sits with the other stones and crystals I have, on my makeshift altar. There's NO room on my altar for the gazing ball. It's currently filled with the God of Summer, and a mermaid! Oh, and the clock that represents timelessness! See the copper coil? It's for the orgonite I'll be making - apparently pretty soon!!

Today I feel blessed. I think I was given a wonderful gift with todays readings.

Old Tarot Kitty and My Tarot Decks.

I bought 2 new decks of cards yesterday... A mini Rider Waite deck, and a Gypsy Card Deck. It made me wonder, how many decks DO I have around here? I primarily use my Druid Craft Tarot.. So, I gathered them up. And placed them around Old Tarot Kitty.. Because there was no way I was going to get her to pose where I WANTED her to...

1. My old Rider Waite deck on the top of the pile. I used those for 15 years.
2. Then, the stack of ** Karma Cards, with the book below. I haven't even looked at them.
3. Then, my Druid Craft Tarot on the bottom of the stack.
4. The box under the Karma Cards book that says "Easy Tarot" contains a deck of Guilded Tarot. I've worked with this set with a tarot student at one point, so although I know the deck, I've never read with them.
5. The ** Quester box is a tarot deck that follows a "Native Americal Brave on his quest to become a fully fledged Spiritual Warrior." Again, I haven't even opened these yet.
6. There's my Morgan Greer deck. I bought them 12 years ago, from ebay. Tried to use them then, and couldn't! Gave them to my son for a bit, and he played with them when he was 9 or 10. He lost interest, so I took them back.. after I did a tarot class about 1.5 years ago, I suddenly was able to use them! So, I bring them when I do readings now.

So, I know that at least one of these decks will be gifted out this week (either the mini rider, or the Guilded.) I tend to collect books and cards with the express purpose that someday they will be gifted to someone who is ready for them.

We are SEVEN days away from me being DONE (at least for the summer) with my Thrift Store job (which I LOVE.) so, seven more days until I'm WAY more focused to work with YOU, with the Tarot and my guides!

** These cards came to me in a big lot I purchased about a year ago... It contained these cards, a pile of books (about 15) on reiki, tarot, magic, herbal, etc etc.  There were a handful of crystals, a big handful of feathers, 8 bundles of sage (big bundles!) and a bunch of packs of incense. There was also a small shell for burning sage, .. there may have been more things, but it was some time ago and all those things have since found homes in my home or have been gifted.

So, yesterday Raphael shows up...

...While I was doing a Reiki / Reflexology session. And I say to my trusty guide of 10 years, Gabe, "So, what's his story? And why is he coming through now." But Gabe stayed quiet for the most part, told me it was time for changes. So, I asked Raphael, as he danced around my meadow with musical instruments (it was hard to keep him still!) and I swear to you, he said "Google that shit."

I laughed, and said "I thought you beings were bigger than that language."

His reply: "I need to connect with you on your level. You use that language a lot."

I could not argue.

This morning, I Googled him. It's interesting to have them come in, not knowing anything about them (other than their names..) I'm wondering, though, why I am getting archangels?

A Little News.

Well! Good Day!
Tomorrow night is the last night of the theatre production I'm in. AND,
yesterday I gave my notice to the thrift shop I work in, that I will be taking the summer off.  (For those of you who didn't know, I have been working part time in a thrift shop. Sorry if that bursts your bubble about who I am.. but, I am who I am! )

This means I'll be spending WAY more time with YOU - this was one of my goals in this. To be able to really connect again with everyone, to spend more time healing in the way I'm SUPPOSED to be!

I will still be doing Reiki Reflexology healing over the summer, but I'm cutting my hours of availability way down, too.

I'm still working out my schedule, what it will be (when I'll be available for live readings and when I will be available for chat readings and online.) but you know I'll let you know as soon as I've written it out.

Back in Full Force - In TEN DAYS.

You know what I'm excited for??!?  Getting back to readings!

I've had a major role in a theatre production - It's been all encompassing for the last 3 months. Memorizing lines is hard work! I HAD to take this role. My guides spoke up, and I always listen.

The show is on right now... the last show is on Friday, June 7th. I haven't been doing any readings in this time, as memorizing the lines have proved FAR more difficult than I remember it being. (The last time I was in a production, was before the "Big Floppy"... synopsis:  in March 1, 2011, I fell down. It behaved like a stroke. No diagnosis. I'm thinking that it may be harder for me to memorize lines because of this thing.???)

I'm doing my best to be in each moment in this experience. Because my Guides have said that something important is coming of this experience. But there is a part of me that must look ahead.

I'm eager to be back to readings. I'm eager to feel more connected to Spirit. (When I'm delivering messages for others, it feels like my Guides and I have more opportunity to visit. hehe.) I'm also eager to be home - take care of my home, my garden, and making big things happen.

I've been chatting with Spirit more often in the evenings. Taking notes. Doing my 'semi-automatic' writing, and stashing the notes.

So, lf you've been waiting patiently, I'll be back at it full force after June 7.  (only 10 days away!)

Old Tarot Kitty says NO to taxes! And YES to NAPS!

Clearly, Old Tarot Kitty thinks I should also go have a nap, and not worry about getting the pile of pages she's napping on in order, to do my taxes.

I've been putting this off. All month. Possibly longer. As I usually have ALL of the things I NEED for taxes by the end of February. Mid March at the latest.

I think there may be little incentive this year, as last year there was no tax refund... and I don't really expect one this year either. A well. First blog. Then Chocolate. Then taxes.

Home with a sick pixie today. My datebook as been back to back, flourescent marker everywhere ... so today I had to cancel a bunch of things to be Nurse Mommy. And that's okay. I am finding it healing for both of us.

I put her in the bath for 10 minutes with epsom salts.
Then, checked on her to make sure she was settled in bed.
Then, I got in the tub myself.
Then, she came in and had a barf. So. That was healing.

This afternoon I did a reflexology session on her, while we watched Wreck It Ralph. (she watched. I listened, with my back to the TV.)

Now. I"m here. Avoiding Taxes. Again.

I'm currently working busily on remembering lines for a play I will be in! The play is not till May 24, but I have a LOT of lines and rehearsals to cram in there.

Card of my Day - The King of Cups

 Today, in asking for my own guidance (after doing a handful of readings for others over email today,) I pulled the King of Cups.

For me, the King of Cups has always simply represented someone who is strong, confident, and mature in all things emotional. Matters of heart, matters of art or culture or creativity.

Today, however, I felt like there was MORE to this card... when I only pull one, the whole story has to come from one, instead of 3, or 7, or 10! So, I looked at him to try to get a better feel for what he wanted to tell me. The Hound behind his chair peeked out at me, but that wasn't what I was looking for. Then I focused in on this little bit of the card. First, it was the belly and the placement of the belt, and the thickness of his thighs, that caught my eye. The colour Red.

I wanted to rub his belly like a buddah. and then I saw the crab at his feet. The sign of cancer, a water sign, right at his toe. Is this about wearing armour to protect my heart, but crawling to this Kings feet anyway? There's a gap in the rock there, that prevents the crab from getting any closer... Is the message about that? and THEN I saw the dolphin.

I have NEVER seen the dolphin in this card! Right at his HAND. As if to eat out of it, as if to be TRUSTING and come in for a pat on the head, up through the current that it looks like it should be caught in.

I'm going to meditate on this. In the Tub. The King of Cups will be right at home with me, in all that water!!!

Dreaming of Orgonon, Reiki, and My Head Hurts.

This last little while, my head has been... occupied. I feel it in my 'third eye', I've been getting migraines, feeling spacey, having up to 8 memorable dreams a night. In MANY of the dreams, I'm giving reiki - some to figures that I cannot identify, and some to people I know. I've also been drawn to a new ...how do I describe this...

A new psychic practice? It's like this deep meditation and a psychic reaching out or exploration, at the same time. I feel my brain EXPANDING.

I have been doing what feels like an enormous amount of channelling and semi-automatic writing the last week or so too. Giving me a heads up a whole pile of things. Some of which have already come to pass, some of which is in it's process right now and don't need my help, and some things that are almost directives.

Needless to say, this work just feels all consuming. I try to turn my thoughts away from it, and I find I'm wrapped right up in it again. I've been able to concentrate on almost NOTHING for more than 10 minutes. I'm feeling LED almost... and most of the instruction I've been given amounts to "Let it flow, don't fight it, and don't interfere."  Easier said than done.

I had a massage today - and that seems to have broken it loose even more.

I've been tardy with readings. Some have sat for 2 weeks. My apologies. This THING just won't let me focus on the readings that are waiting. And I guess I've got to let itself play out. There's only a few more days left of this, they keep telling me. I'm trying to be open, and patient.

But my head hurts.

A Chat With My Guides.... What was THAT?

A thing happened today.

It happens every now and again. Thinking back, I think the last time it happened, it was in summer.

I sat with a client, and couldn't read for her. Not one thing that was coming out resonated with her.. and so, after 20 minutes of shuffling and listening to the jumble jumble going on in my head, I called it quits.

It's disappointing for the client, and disappointing for me too when this happens. I'm going to guess, it happens about once in every 50 or 75 live, sit down clients. I'm always perplexed when it happens. Today, it's left me feeling upset... far more upset than usual. I think this is because the client was so looking forward to the reading.

So, I decided to ask my guides:

"When this happens, when I get absolutely nothing for a client, What is going on?"

"There can be a number of things going on here. Sometimes the client isn't clear in their own head, isn't focused enough, or spent enough time considering their options. Sometimes an underlying desire to hide everything can block us from receiving. Sometimes the querent has nothing going on that is out of place, everything is a-ok. There's nothing to tell. Sometimes Lori, you are just off. It happens, as much as you want to be helpful. have you noticed this will always happen the last sitting of the day? Always. "

"Huh. So. What can I do so that this happens far less."

"Lori, it doesn't happen that often. You can't be on all time, despite wanting to be. You just can't. Aside from that, remind them to write down their questions before hand. This will help them focus. Help us focus on specifics. Also, you need to bring food. I know it's not on your list of likes, but you can eat when you read. Or eat more before you read. You are starving your body. Sometimes you need to eat during. Get more sleep. Dream. Say a prayer for them to be open, remind them to be open and allow us in. Sometimes there are blockages, walls we can't get around. "

"Ok. So, what can I say or do to make people feel better when this happens, and there's no way around it for one way or another. And to make myself feel better. I always feel like I'm not doing my job when this happens."

"When you feel it trailing, going nowhere, stop sooner. Dont' keep trying. If it's closed, it's closed. Refer them to another reader - you have a list of them that YOU trust, keep cards with you, and help make the connection. yes, you can try email, but WE still know who we are stuck with, even if they email you without telling you who they are. If nothing changes, we still aren't getting in. Tell them to be sure that this is for a reason. You are a good translator for us, but sometimes you aren't the RIGHT one for the person who sits with you. You notice how some readings are crystal clear, and loud... that's because of your synergy with those particular clients. You can be everything to everyone... sometimes you have to give some away, to find the right synergy with the right conduit."

"You know I'm now going to have to look up what synergy means exactly now, right?"

"Details, Lori. Details."

"So, when this happens, it makes me want to quit for the day. And I have readings waiting."

"Take a bath. Wash it away. Re energize yourself. And carry on. You are an active reader, and we like working with you. Laughing will raise your energy away from the blockages. Eat something."



So. That gives me some things to meditate on for a bit.

Girls Night Out April 4, 2013, The Boathouse Eatery Midland Ontario

I have just confirmed an appearance in Midland Ontario.

I will be reading cards the evening of Thursday, April 4th, 2013, at The Boathouse Eatery.
The Rotary Club of Midland is hosting a Girls' Night Out with proceeds going to the Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland Ontario.

The event runs from 7pm to 11pm.

You get to choose 3 of the many services that will be offered on this evening. Last year it included mini massages, mini manicures, reflexology, and this year there's tarot!

There will be two tarot readers there this year - when you purchase your ticket for the Girls Night Out on April 4th, be sure to specifically ask for Lori-Grace (The Little Witch) as you have to book your time with the 3 services you are choosing.

There will be live music there, and also complimentary Complimentary h'orderves all evening.

Tickets for the Girls Night Out on April 4th, 2013 can be purchased at Simply Country in Midland Ontario . The purchase of the tickets is cash only.

Your mini tarot reading with Lori-Grace is included in the cost of the ticket price, but you must book your reading as soon as possible! My spaces always fill up fast when I do these events.

Famous Psychics Wages Unreasonable???

First, let me say that I do appreciate the publicity that famous psychics have given our abilities. Psychics like John Edward, Sylvia Browne, and Chip Coffey have opened the doors and made this thing we do MAINSTREAM. And in making psychics, with whatever their ability is, a mainstream thing, it's opened a lot of minds that would normally be very very closed.

These gifted and charismatic people have been my mentors. 

This skill that we have has given guidance to people who are lost, helped them connect with spirit within and without. Helped them find peace and closure with loved ones past, with issues they've carried around from this life and last.

 Edgar Cayce was my first introduction to other people who had something similar to what I had been keeping secret inside myself for so long. He truly worked for the people.

I guess the thing that is dancing on my conscience today is the price that they feel they need to charge. I don't want to knock them, they have lifestyles and staff to support, right? I think what bothers me is that so many people think that they either have to spend a weeks wages to get a half hour reading that they will have to wait THREE months to receive, and don't see that there is an alternative.. OR they just get to feel bad about not being able to afford it.

So, this brings me to... well, psychics like ME. There are so many of us.

I can 'do' what the famous psychics can do, in one way or another. My skills and methods might be a bit different, because we're all different! I connect with my guides. I can connect with yours. I can tell you about your past, and your future through them. I can connect with spirits who have passed over. I can do house blessings. I see 'things'. I hear them too. Sometimes I taste the message on my tongue. I am a lucid dreamer. I can send myself to 'astral' places to connect with akashic records. And some stuff in between.

The difference is, I live a very frugal lifestyle, and don't NEED people in need of guidance to give me absorbent amounts of money. I don't do this for fame - I'm just trying to do my heart and souls work.  I do what I do to SERVE others, and it doesn't serve anyone, making minimum wage and making payments and with other financial responsibilities and obligations, to hand over up to a week of their full time wages to have a half hour or an hour of my time.

It just doesn't make sense to me, is all.

I really feel like this guidance, this thing we do, needs to be accessible!

Yes, it's time consuming. Yes, it takes energy.

Have you ever had to work at a fast food restaurant, running your ass off for an hour? THAT is time consuming too. That takes a HELL of a lot more energy in an hour, takes FAR more toll on the body and mind than what I do. I know this - I have worked those jobs, dressed in hosiery and polyester, sweating my ass off with a smile on my face, to come home with aching feet smelling of grease and coffee.

Okay. I'm ranting. I know it.

I just really feel like I needed to speak out. It just really HURTS me to see other fans on famous psychics pages sitting in a sense of LOSS at not being able to afford a reading, when they could get their guidance from another psychic who gets their info FROM THE SAME SOURCE!

Catching up, and Availability Feb 19th to March 3

I feel like I"m always playing catch up with the readings in my email. What is up with that?

This morning I got through 3. Two had 2 questions, and one was a 3 question... this took me 2.5 hours. I had to stop and eat and ground. It's amazing how it takes it out of me.

I was also thinking, how is it that I can read live for up to 6 people in a party setting, but 3 emails just finishes me for the day??
