Wild Wood Tarot - The Archer

I have been spending a lot of time with this card.  

It's The Archer from The Wild Wood Tarot. 

 When I'm learning a new deck, I 'sleep' with the cards, each individually at first, and then a few together. I meditate on the card, read the book description, then put the card beside my bed where I can see it when I wake up. From there I "go into" the card to explore it.

Sometimes I'm hanging out with the characters in the card, or just exploring what there is to see.. but with THIS card, I've been BECOMING the archer. Hanging out with these two dogs. (What kind of dogs are these?)

Normally I'll stay with a card for 3 nights max. But this one, I just don't feel ready to let go of. I'm wandering around the edges of the forest, and these dogs are so well behaved. And I'm feeling it around me during the day - The helmet on my head and the dogs pacing me.

Last night in bed, I wondered what the Rider-Waite equivalent would be, and I guessed The Chariot... upon checking this eve, I was right! (I'm sort of awful with the numeracal value of the Major Arcana. Their stories have always been more important when it comes to memorization.) During my visualizations, the dogs have always been one male, one female.

The interpretation from the book:
Meaning from the book: The dawn of a new adventure, folded in the web of universal potential, waits for you to string the bow of your imagination and loose the arrows of creativity. This is a time to be bold and commit to the hunting of new life and a better relationship with the world, as well as the fulfillment of wholesome ambition. Take a moment to gather your tools and steady your state of mind. Take careful stock of what you want to achieve, why and how you will go about it. Then harness your potential by filling your quiver with all the talents, knowledge and cunning you possess and string the ‘bow of burning gold’ with the ‘arrows of desire’.  So, after looking at all the things, it makes sense that I'm hanging onto this card in my work with the deck. I've been focusing on a goal, putting lots of attention on it to make it all work out. 

Hanging with the dogs have been interesting, though. I'm a cat person. It's been a learning experience.

All The Things!

ALMOST all of the Time-Off-Festivities are done. Next is New Years, and then it's back to it. It's always this time of year, when I have a few days in a row off, when I start looking into all the things I want to do!

New courses - I want to do Indian Head and Face Massage, Holistic Pain Management and Meridian Psychotherapy.

The New Wild Wood Deck - I'm spending time with it every evening.

Seeds and the garden! I'm planning the spring garden already. This is the time of year I buy my seeds.

Foods! I always want to bake and stockpile food this time of year. Do it all from scratch.

I want to paint my house, (Every room needs it. It's been 11 years in the rental off white.) and clean the whole darn thing and and and...

And then my 5 days in a row off are over, and it's back to it.

I bought a Witches Day Planner, though. In my head, it's TOTALLY going to make all the things happen.

Curious Situations with Curious People.

So. You know how sometimes I get premonitions of stuff, but then I'm worried about self forfilling prophecy? Yeahhhhh. That thing has been going on.

Got a Big Giant Head message, loud and intrusive. And I've been sort of just hanging around waiting for my part in it. It's one of the things distracting me right now.

Also, You know that thing where we manifest exactly what we ask for? That's been happening. I'm finding myself in new and curious situations with new and curious people, and I've been casually reviewing HOW DID I GET HERE? and the WHAT HAVE WE COME TOGETHER TO DO? I'm enjoying the ride, allowing it all to follow the path. Because clearly we have come together for a reason!  It's making my datebook a scribbly mess though. Hehe.

I'm pretty trusting in the Universal Flow.

Did a fantastic Psychic-Lori-Medium thing today, in office. I had been finding it REALLY difficult to do those in the office. But today, the client was totally focused (and had a really strong pull with who he wanted... a really strong connection already.) and before hand I had done some "LET'S MAKE THIS HAPPEN!" requests with my guides.

I'm really pleased. I always have that moment though, when I think "Is the client pleased? Was it good for them?"

Anyway. There's the update.

New Tarot Decks Arrive!

So. I got my NEW Druid Craft Tarot deck. CRAZY how delicious they are to shuffle, compared to the old set. Also, though, another deck.. The Wildwood Tarot. So so so amazingly gorgeous. I want to live there, in those cards, and that's precisely what I do when I'm studing a new deck. I want to dive right in.

They are delightfully primitive, they feel a step deeper than the Druidcraft Tarot. There will be time to get lost in them. But that time isn't quiet yet. I imagine it will be 6 months or so before I'll actually be able to start using them for clients.

Right now, I'm working on manifesting all the Abundance. I've got tarot functions that I'm volunteering for fundraisers, I've got a script I need to get busy memorizing, and the Universe has been giving me so many curious things to taste, I imagine it will be winter before I get to dream along with these lovelies.

Anyway. Thought I would write a quickie to express my absolute joy in having these in hand.
