So, it's been just over 2 weeks since the basement disaster that resulted in total voice loss. For the last few days, I've been able to sing just a little bit, but with the quality of voice I've got going on, all I can manage is some Melissa Etheridge songs. (If only I could have my whole vocal range AND this sexy rasp in my voice at the same time.)
I had planned to set up the gypsy tent on Saturday, but on Friday I got a text from one of my beloved teenagers, saying the basement was flooded. JOY.
When we arrived, we figured out that the reason it flooded was that a single pair of pants and a shirt was put in the washer, and that wonderful machine from Nineteen-Seventy-Something had bounced the drain hose right out of the wall, and drained onto the floor. And drained and drained.
Luckily, I had some masks from working during the week at Reflexology (while still fighting with a delightful cough) so I wore one in the basement on Saturday, while filling garbage bags with wet items.
The Universe just decided that it was TIME to gut the basement I guess. Who am I to argue?
So, there's still things for me to touch and consider and organize down there, but almost all of the floor got cleared. The Shapeshifter mopped hot vinegar in water onto the naked concrete floor, and we've been running a dehumidifier so much, that I'm sure the PUC is making evil genius tenty fingers in delight at what the bill is going to be at the end of the month...
But, clean basement.
And bitchin' rock n roll voice.

Freddie Krueger.
Freddie Krueger. Remember this fictional character?
He ruined horror movies for me forever.
My 8 and 9 year old self used to watch the occasional horror film at a sleepover. Around aged 10, the world introduced Freddie, and he was the most TERRIFYING horror dude ever. Because he got into your dreams.
Dreams were so vivid for me, from a little wee kid. I would confused dreams with what really happened in waking life all the time. By the time I hit 10, I was starting to enjoy the dreams, write out the dreams, interpret the dreams. I had some VERY present and familiar 'dream friends' (which later I began to realize where guides.)
Most horror film 'baddies' I could handle. They were ridiculous to me. Freddie was some SERIOUS SH*T. Because THAT DUDE gets you when you are most vulnerable. He attacked the spirit. Although I don't recall the movies going into spirit too much. But that's how I interpreted it.
I also started to realize at that point how fear can create, and how love can conquer. And how I had to be SUPER careful about what I put into my head during the day. Because I made things happen. At night. In the dark. In my sleep.
Then, I began to read Stephen King Novels. Because CLEARLY I had some stuff to deal with in this Fear/Love thing. There's a story he wrote about a bunch of Vampires and at some point someone has a cross and they are holding it up and it's repelling the Vampire. Some sort of word play happens, and the man doesn't have the cross anymore, and the man loses belief that the vampire can be repelled.... and just before the vampire eats him, he reveals that the power is in HIM, has nothing to do with the cross...
So, I think I was 12 when I read that book, so I'm sure someone will let me know which story it was... But THAT was the wake up point, I think.. .OH, THAT'S where the power comes from. Love. Belief. Trust.
This long blog sort of has become a run on sentence, a half assed essay. That's okay. Maybe we can have some discussion about manifesting, creating negativity, and how love protects and keeps us safe...

Dreaming to Psychic.
This whole psychic business with me didn't start as such. Not really.
I had imaginary friends who I ofcourse could SEE! (But was told they were imaginary, so I left it at that.) As a child I had dreams that I couldn't divide from reality. I thought my dreams WERE quite real, until I got older and started questioning my mother about memories I had. ("Do you remember visiting Santa, under the pavement in the parking lot? He had a big brass orchestra behind him?")
Up until the age of 10ish, I just KNEW things, but I had learned somewhere along the line to keep that stuff to myself. So I did. And then as a teenager, it all went out the window, and I was left with only my dreams to hint at other worlds, other dimentions.
It really wasn't until I was expecting my first child, and all the crazy dreams that come with pregnancy, that I began searching. Really poking at all the things.
I began writing down my dreams and interpreting them. (or NOT interpreting them! Some of them were just things to do, places to be, in other realms.) At this same time, I bought my first deck of tarot cards.
From there it bloomed into more study, in waking life AND dreaming life, to now, where I am now a channel and medium, as well as learning everyday to better my healing hands energy work. There was a lot of learning in all those 20 years, and I know there's so much more.
But for me, the first step was in the Dreaming. Paying attention, taking it as a serious part of my life.

The Perfect Day
Today was a perfect example of a perfect work day!
I suppose it's not really work. Because I love what I do. I feel like I'm doing my important THING here on earth.
Today at 9am I met a lady at my office. I did a Reiki / Quantum Healing session for her. Only the spa light of the oil diffuser was on, and it was sort of dark. Not too much light through the window that I've hung with rainbow coloured scarves. The room smelled lightly of Frankincense, which I chose specifically for its uplifting properties.
At 11, I went to another lady's house. She has her own reiki table. Our session was held in her happily painted and decorated livingroom. She saw and felt much the same flow and colours of energy as I did. We chatted excitedly about it after her session, and she fixed my necklace for me.
At 2pm I had a Reflexology therapy session in my office at the Wellness Centre. We put the cozy blanket on her and played the light and happy relaxation music, while I touched the pressure points on her feet. After a bit of chat, she fell asleep. I love it when clients are comfortable enough to fall asleep.
Now, there are lots of perfect days. Some of them I read cards, or channel loved ones. (They come in nice and loud in my tarot office.) Some of them have Reiki / Quantum Healing. Some of them have Reflexology. Some of them have Holistic Massage. The best days have a happy balance between a few of these modalities.
I am so thankful for today.

Womens Wellness Weekend 2015 - Camp Kitchikewana
On September 18th, 19th and 20th, I took part in the Camp Kitchikewana Womens Wellness Weekend. I did reflexology and read cards during the days there.
This was the room I used for readings. I did this last year, also, and I was super thankful that this year wasn't nearly as cold as last year.
The view from just about any window at Kitchi. I wish I could stay here for a few weeks, have them feed me, and just write!
Interestingly, I slept very deeply here. (I figured I'd be bombarded with dreams and energies, because it's so quiet out there.) But my readings were FAST and good. I was pretty happy with what came through. I was only doing 20 minute readings, and I was worried it wouldn't be enough.
Again. How can I live here?
The only things I would miss would be the ability to have a LONG warm bath.

Pay What You Can Energy Healing, Midland Ontario
The new office! Four more days! I'm excited!
How do we all feel about pay-what-you-can Energy Healing sessions?
This is something I've wanted to do for a very long time. I have the reiki table, I now have the space. I'm feeling SO ready. My ideas are to either make one day a week, or perhaps one day a month, open for Pay-What-You-Can sessions. What do you think? Other than that, energy work would have a regular day to day price.
The energy work works well alongside my psychic and tarot readings so very well. Having a private room, in an office building (that ISN'T my home!) makes me feel like it's time!

Office FOUND!
The lease is SIGNED! The office is one of 13, within a cooperative type space.
13 different offices that each lock for security, one communal waiting area, and one communal washroom. Free parking at the back of the building, and metered spots on the road at the front, that are only paid meteres Monday to Friday, 9 - 5.
I DO believe I was the first to sign and commit. My office number is 4! Which will be wonderful for HEALING. I have been sore about giving up my old office space a few years ago. Healing is in this thing for me.
The rent is ridiculously reasonable.
It's in a basement, but not a full basement.. I have a WINDOW facing the street! And I made a decal for it.
I also have an office window that looks into the reception area. I made a poster for that, too.
Very exciting stuff. I'll be able to book weekend readings now, and be more in control of my hours!
The Universe has put this together beautifully. I take possession August 1st. I think I should be ready for readings inside fairly quickly. Right now, I only need to find a sturdy table, that is not too big, but big enough for my favourite spread. (Celtic Cross!)
Thrilled! As soon as I'm set up, there'll be an open house, and a 10 min for $10 buck special.

In Midland Ontario, there will be a Psyschic Fair at the Best Western. June 12, 13 and 14. The admission is $5 to get in, and from there you also pay an additional fee to see the psychics at the fair at the rates they choose.

We're getting into the busy time of year for me! And a change in scheduled availability for live readings. (Email readings will still be done for the most part on Fridays, unless there are many and it trails into Saturdays. But I'll keep you posted on the Facebook page about that!)
So, parties will be available exclusively on weekends, during the day or evenings.
One on one, Live-in-person reads will be available on Thursdays in the office, or weekend days in Midland, Ontario and area. (Which includes Penetanguishene, Lafontaine, Balm Beach, Elmvale, Victoria Harbour, Port McNicoll.)
I've listed the current party availability HERE. When we get a little further into the year, I'll have special walk in days listed here, too.

Theta Healing and Frequency - New Books!
I'm VERY excited about 2 new books I got this weekend! Some additional things to add to my energy healing bag-o-tricks.
I've already begun reading the Theta Healing book, and I'm eager to read more. I'm currently still in the introduction part of the book, but it's already led me to watching some youtube videos and finding them on Facebook.
ThetaHealing is essentially applied quantum physics. Using a
theta brain wave, which until now was believed to be accessible only in
deep sleep or yogi-level meditation, the practitioner is able to connect
with the energy of All That Is - the energy in everything - to
identify issues with and witness healings on the physical body, and to

Tarot Reading at The Huronia Museum. More Photos!
More photo fun from the Huronia Museum Artist Takeover event on Friday, January 30th and Saturday, January 31st.
Day 2 of the Museum's event was faaantastic! So much great energy, and I was SO pleased at how well behaved the all the energy attached to the War Room's contents behaved!
It was a wonderful day for readings. I always feel BAD when people weep when they don't expect it. But, I also feel happy that we touch the beginning of their healing journeys in these readings. I felt all the love!

Midland Ontario WINTERFEST Tarot Readings!
They've set me up in the WAR ROOM.
You have NO IDEA what a big deal this is for me. The phrase 'War Room' ... In some of my magical/meditative workings, I GO to a place that I call the War Room. Although I haven't been there in ages. I guess it's time to go back and see what's happening.
Anwyay, pictures!!!
The room is mostly enclosed (aside from the extra wide door.) and I needed to have a chat with all the STUFF and old photos to make sure that no one was going to try to just 'come on in' and have chats.
I did 7 readings last night (Friday, from 5 to 8), and TODAY, I'm there from 9 to 3. Seven hours!
I'm up early to do some stretches, prepare some food, and drink the tea and get breakfast one AND two into me before leaving.
The museum is full of artists (and so many familiar faces!). There REALLY was a party atmosphere going on last night! I'm eager for all the connections today!
I did some awesome readings last night (and totally went over the 10 minute limit with most of them! Ofcourse.) I'm feeling pretty revved up and excited for today!

We Are The Villagers "Girls Night Out."
We Are The Villagers is an organization in our town that helps children get involved in extra curricular activities, who might not otherwise have the opportunity due to the cost of some of these programs. WATV welcomes them into the "Village", and pays for the programs for them.
And what's even nicer, is the little Villagers have their choice of programs from within the community to choose from. Art, Scouting, Gymnastics, Music, Figure Skating... from what I've seen, the program is allowing kids to do what ever it is they are interested in.
On Monday, March 16th , from 5 - 9pm at The Library Restaurant, is hosting a "Girls Night Out" party, as a fundraiser for all the little Villagers. The details are not all completely worked out yet. However, I have gladly accepted the invitation to donate my time that eve, to read cards for the ladies who are attending the Girls Night Out.
I'm so looking forward to connecting with all the lovely ladies, and supporting this wonderful charity and all the heart-space work they do!

Wording Your Tarot Question Well in 2014
When ever I get email inquiries or readings, I always stress to the
querent to word your question in such a way that gives me direction
WITHOUT giving me any back story or hints. It makes me feel like I"m
cheating.
However, it is helpful for you to give me some sort of question instead of requesting a general life read. Why? Because my guides like to give the spiritual answer. They'll move directly to the spiritual reason that things are happening, and often that's not what we are looking for! Sometimes we want touchable, measurable answers.
I find good questions start with thinking about what
has been foremost on your mind, or something that you've been giving some thought to solving.
And then asking things like:
"What is most important to know about this situation?"
"What is the best path to follow in this situation?"
"Am I already on the right path?"
"What am I supposed to be learning spiritually from this situation?"
"What is the path of least resistance in this situation?"
"What is the path for the greatest good in this situation?"
These sort of questions help us get RIGHT to the heart of the matter, without giving me any hints.

Oh Hello! It's Snowing Out. That Means MORE READING!
So, I never just read ONE book at a time. Very rarely, anyway. Currently, I've been reading these three, sort of simultaneously. I'll read a bit of each before bed, or 2 before bed and one in the morning.
As I mentioned in my last blog, I'm really excited about this one. Which is a little ironic, because what this book helps you do is NOT get really excited. Heh. It has you basically hypnotising yourself to reach your goals, and heal yourself.
This one has been a bit of a challenge. Originally published in 1973, It reads more like a, say, 1930 to me, in terms of language used, and how LONG it takes to get to the little nuggets of goodness. I've already spent time with Astral Projection, but there is a lot of interesting things to ponder in this one.
The last one of the three that I'm spending most time with is A Napoleon Hill. I have owned "Think and Grow Rich" for just ages. This one has been INCREDIBLY interesting. There's no "business" in here. It's all about healing yourself, and there are some pretty radical ideas in it, considering the time he wrote it. He talks opening and plainly about how husbands and wives are the strongest mastermind team, about using sexual energy to raise energy for purpose, about Guides of all sorts, and even astral projection. CRAZY.
That last pic isn't the best. It's late. And dark. And snowing like MAD out there. I'm not sure how that's relevant. But it must be. EVERYTHING IS! *Cackle*
Anyway, I've not been reading these books at the same pace. I'll read one a few nights, then maybe pick up two, then move on to the third for a few... It's random how much I'm reading of each, and when. What has been TICKLING me all to bits, is that what ever book I pick up, at what ever interval, they are mirroring the same messages. The same lessons. I love the magic of Sychronicity.
I fully expect next week to be my last before layoffs, at one of my part time jobs. And I'm okay with that. Because it means a new schedule, mixing things up, and getting to spend all the time doing just what I am supposed to. Readings, Reflexology, Art, Singing in the kitchen while baking. Oh yes. It feels good to just THINK about it.
My dreams the last few nights have kept me busy, and wide awake 2 and 3 times a night. It's nearly 10pm, and I am SO SLEEPY! Super snowy days are really good for snuggling in. With books.
