Just Keep Swimming.

You know that thing I sometimes say when I'm doing a reading that goes like:

"Sometimes you gotta just get through the shit in order to get to the good."

or some variation of that?

Yeah, in my own life, I just finished with a pile of that. Well, maybe not total shit, but man it was CHALLENGING. But I did it. I stayed calm. I stayed focused. I found the laughter. I worked hard. It felt good to persevere. I had to keep my chin up and think "It's all going to work itself out. I'm showing up. I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing. The big reveal is gonna be SO AWESOME."

 And BOOM.

All at once it all fell together. All the hopes of the goals. In ONE WEEKEND. What the heck? Persevering AND staying conscious and engaged in each moment, put me in the right place, to talk to the right people. I was in the right place by accident and was inspired to talk to the right people put in my path because I was consciously open. And I put myself out there.

So, what happened? So much.

Ran into the PERFECT candidate to take my shifts at the thrift store, while standing and sweating like a madwoman at my craft booth at the Cupcake Festival in Penetanguishene.  Perfect, because she used to work there, and was amazing at the job. I love the thrift store, but my own businesses are so busy. I let the universe know that something exactly right had to happen, as I didn't want to leave the boss lady at the thrift store in the lurch, and I needed to be able to say YES to more clients.

Later, while at the Festival, I was approached by someone who is coordinating booths for Pirates of the Bay in Penetanguishene said she had been thinking of me, and did I want to set up a Booth to read cards as The Little Witch ? HECK YES! And I get to dress up like a pirate witch. hehehe.

This is what I will imagine myself to look like. I probably won't come close though. heheh.

AND THEN, while STILL at my booth later, a woman came around advertising the Coldwater Steam Punk Festival. I asked her about booths, and she said she was completely booked. I said that was okay, and she gave me info for next year. I gave her my card. Yesterday, (Monday) I got an email saying they had a last minute cancellation and would I like to come and read cards? YES YES YES! And, I get to dress up like a Steam Punk Circus Reader! (Madame Petrovski. Knows All, Sees All! haha.)

Like this, but with more steam....punk.

And on Monday, I had lots of Reflex clients, and one asked if they could rebook their next monthly appointment on a different day than Monday (since her usual Monday was already booked at her best time.) and I was able to say YES! Since we've found a replacement for my shifts at the thrift store.

So, that was a super long story. But my point is that good things come from where you least expect it. I like to be open to it, and trust that everything comes as it should.

Yes, I have ups and downs. There are better days than others. But I really believe if we power through the shit, with our best foot forward, doing the best we can with the skills we have, eventually we get our reward.

And after the reward, usually a new set of challenges. It's the Universes way of keeping things interesting, I think. How boring would life be without a few plot twists?

Chin up. Trust your inner self, by what ever name you call it.

Lookit Mah Office! Psychic Tarot Readings Downtown Midland Ontario

So, there are still things to go up on the walls (Like the heavy clay sun, and the sun mirror in the picture below) but, it sure is nice to have the office space for readings!

Saturday and Sunday readings are THE BEST. My new office space is super relaxed for me, I can be as loud as the voices need me to be. The readings have been fast and furious!

The office space is small, but it's big enough! If the reiki table is out, the chairs and tarot desk have to get tucked into a corner. I'm excited to get some paintings up on the walls, and get the books in that I have for sale.

This is where the magic happens, folks.
522 Elizabeth Street, Midland. Woots!

Office FOUND!

The lease is SIGNED!  The office is one of 13, within a cooperative type space.

13 different offices that each lock for security, one communal waiting area, and one communal washroom. Free parking at the back of the building, and metered spots on the road at the front, that are only paid meteres Monday to Friday, 9 - 5.

I DO believe I was the first to sign and commit. My office number is 4! Which will be wonderful for HEALING. I have been sore about giving up my old office space a few years ago. Healing is in this thing for me.

The rent is ridiculously reasonable.

It's in a basement, but not a full basement.. I have a WINDOW facing the street! And I made a decal for it.

I also have an office window that looks into the reception area. I made a poster for that, too.

Very exciting stuff. I'll be able to book weekend readings now, and be more in control of my hours!

The Universe has put this together beautifully. I take possession August 1st. I think I should be ready for readings inside fairly quickly. Right now, I only  need to find a sturdy table, that is not too big, but big enough for my favourite spread. (Celtic Cross!)

Thrilled! As soon as I'm set up, there'll be an open house, and a 10  min for $10 buck special.

Blessings!!!!

Wording Your Tarot Question Well in 2014

When ever I get email inquiries or readings, I always stress to the querent to word your question in such a way that gives me direction WITHOUT giving me any back story or hints. It makes me feel like I"m cheating.

However, it is helpful for you to give me some sort of question instead of requesting a general life read. Why? Because my guides like to give the spiritual answer. They'll move directly to the spiritual reason that things are happening, and often that's not what we are looking for! Sometimes we want touchable, measurable answers.

I find good questions start with thinking about what
has been foremost on your mind, or something that you've been giving some thought to solving.
And then asking things like:

"What is most important to know about this situation?"
"What is the best path to follow in this situation?"
"Am I already on the right path?"
"What am I supposed to be learning spiritually from this situation?"
"What is the path of least resistance in this situation?"
"What is the path for the greatest good in this situation?"

These sort of questions help us get RIGHT to the heart of the matter, without giving me any hints.

I hope this is helpful in helping YOU get the answers you are looking for directly!
I look forward to reading for you in 2014!

Blessings,
Lori-Grace

Tarot Certification? Bull!

There are so many readers out there of various skills, whether it be with tarot cards, pendulums, palm reading, etc, that are not helping as many people as they could with their skill, Because of one road block.

Somewhere along the line you picked up the notion that you needed someone else to validate you to prove you are a reader.

These councils will charge you a fee to "test" a skill you already know you have, and give you a printed paper certificate (one that you are probably going to print with your own ink on your own printer!).

Why should you have to prove to anyone, what you've already been doing? What your current clients already know you can do? Your skill comes from a higher source, and the work you've already put into it.

If you've already been doing readings, putting work into learning more, and continually learning, then you ARE a tarot reader. No one can tell you that you are reading cards or spreads wrong, and no one can know the secrets you know in your heart about your skill.

And, if you conduct yourself in a professional manner, you can consider yourself a professional.

The only difference between YOU and all of those famous readers out there, is thier ability to MARKET themselves.

If you are interested in learning how to market yourself as a professional tarot reader, please join this tarot marketing list:
